Bijna iedereen is inmiddels wel op de hoogte van Naughty Bear. Dit komt omdat dit geen dertien-in-een-dozijn-game is, maar juist opvalt door zijn lieve, maar tegelijkertijd bloederige stijltje. Voor degenen die de afgelopen maanden onder een steen hebben gelegen nog even een korte samenvatting: Er is een beer jarig en het hele eiland is uitgenodigd, behalve Naughty Bear. Ze willen hem niet op het feestje hebben omdat hij te stout is. Terwijl Naughty Bear hard bezig is met het inpakken van zijn cadeautje lacht iedereen hem uit en de stoute beer loopt verdrietig terug naar zijn huisje. Daar bedenkt hij dat hij wraak wil nemen, en besluit iedereen op zijn pad te doorkliefen met zijn wapens. Veel bloed en dode beren gegarandeerd.

Maar de game krijgt ook een multiplayermodus, met maar liefst vier verschillende speltypen. We hebben ze hieronder even voor je op een rijtje gezet (in het Engels).

Jelly Wars: This mode sees a team of n0rmal everyday bears faced up against one Naughty Bear. The objective is for the normal bears to locate pieces of jelly which they then must return to a pre-designated mixing point. They then drop them off to make one giant jelly and win the game for their team. The Naughty Bear on the other hand is hell bent on killing (as usual), and has to kill the other time whilst hiding all the jelly pieces. 

Cake Walk: Think of this like Oddball, and there you have Cake Walk. One bear must hold onto a giant golden cupcake for as long as possible while everyone else tries and kills him. Hopefully you’re able to defend yourself in some way as that was a pet peeve of mine during Halo 3. 

Golden Oozy: Sorry, is this James Bond? Golden Oozy sees one player given a very powerful gun with unlimited ammo, and of course you’re then meant to go and kill everyone else. Will unluckily for the other bears their objective is to then steal it back and in turn use it to kill everyone else. Ah, the circle of life. 

Assault: Assault, as the title denotes is a base defense/attack type gametype. Two teams of bears are charged with protecting their base and a golden statue inside it for a minute, and after that minute they change sides and repeat. A game of Assault has two rounds.
